Hellas Gold Virtual and Augmented Reality Innovation Shines at Euromines Safety Awards

Hellas Gold and Eldorado Gold were recently honored with the Silver Award at the 2024 Euromines Safety Awards, securing 2nd place among 15 top nominations from some of Europe’s largest mining companies and suppliers. 

The award recognizes our innovative virtual and augmented reality training programs deployed at our state-of-the-art training center at Madem Lakkos. The simulators replicate actual mine environments and equipment controls, immersing trainees in a 360-degree experience that enhances their skills in a safe environment without risks and without disrupting production. Today, the integrated simulators operate for key equipment training, such as jumbo drills and load haul dumpers.
