Responsible for Accounting and Treasury activities for the Amsterdam office, in close collaboration with the Sr. Operations Accountant, headquarters and the European regional offices.

Assisting the Holding Accountant with the financial day-to-day accounting, operating independently to ensure timely reporting and communicating possible issues and problems in a timely fashion.

Tasks and responsibilities include, amongst others, the monthly reporting cycle, AP & invoicing process, cash and bank runs and provide assistance with general finance issues


The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Maintaining the accounting system (SAP) for the entities. SAP experience essential.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting, which include amongst others:
    • Posting of supplier invoices and the subsequent payment of these invoices. Corresponding with suppliers on discrepancies.
    • Calculation and posting of interest on intercompany loans. Reconciliation of these loans. Excel experience required.
    • Various cash and bank responsibilities such as:
      • preparing weekly payment runs for suppliers.
      • Preparing payment runs for international and local cash calls.
      • Posting all transactions and multi-currency journals in SAP.
      • Allocating all entries to relevant ledgers and entities accurately and on time.
      • Ensuring sufficient cash balances on the different bank accounts.
      • Preparing and submitting the weekly cash reports to head office.
    • Initiate system generated Exchange adjustments.
    • Exporting financial information from SAP to prepare the monthly reporting packages
  • Preparation of the statutory and half yearly accounts (with or without support). Word Experience required.


  • A degree in Accounting (or equivalent) is required.
  • Experience in financial accounting information systems, SAP knowledge essential.
  • Computer literate – excellent skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels.
  • A motivated, resourceful, self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction.
