Operations & Projects

Our 2011 worldwide exploration budget is $54 million. Approximately 58% ($29 million) of the total will be spent on near mine (minesite and brownfields) exploration where we plan to take advantage of both existing infrastructure and highly prospective targets. About 42% ($25 million) will be spent on greenfields exploration and project generation activities.

Of the $54 million budget, about $24.8 million will be spent in China, $14.6 million in Brazil, $13 million in Turkey, and $1.6 million in Nevada.
