We are skilled explorers.
Our exploration programs include near mine drilling, advanced stage projects and grassroots programs. Our exploration is focused in the countries in which we operate: Turkey, Greece, Brazil and Romania, and is conducted through our regional exploration offices.
We are always looking to add value by increasing our resources and reserves. We have proven our ability to discover gold deposits – Kisladag and Efemcukuru in western Turkey were grassroots discoveries. We have also built value through acquisitions that provided exposure to underexplored, highly-prospective areas.
Prospects that add value to our portfolio over both the short and long term are of interest to us. Our exploration and business development teams actively pursue new early-stage project opportunities both within our focus jurisdictions and new regions. If you feel that your project meets our criteria and would like to partner with an industry-leading, technically-expert exploration group, please contact Exploration/New Business Inquiries.
Eldorado’s regional exploration teams based in Turkey, Greece, and Romania are advancing our existing projects and actively evaluating new opportunities throughout the prolific Western Tethyan Belt. We are industry leaders in recognizing the potential of re-emerging historic mining jurisdictions. In addition to the outstanding brownfields potential surrounding our European operations, we have grown our portfolio of early-stage projects in the region through acquiring exploration rights to prospective open ground, participating in public auctions, and forming exploration partnerships with grass-roots explorers.
Near mine exploration
In addition to ongoing engineering efforts at our Tocantinzinho deposit in the Tapajos district, Eldorado is actively exploring the prolific Precambrian greenstone belts of central and eastern Brazil. Each year, our generative group evaluates many potential opportunities and acquires exploration rights to the most prospective. We focus on identifying and testing early stage projects where our geological team feels there is excellent potential for high-grade gold resources.
